A jolly good weekend =)

Well it’s been a fun weekend indeed. On Saturday I finished my volunteering at 5pm and then met up with Martin who has moved in with me for 2 weeks. Then at 7 Martin, Alice and I met up with our old computing class from college (Aaron, Mat, sadly Martin.F and Jeff couldn’t make it) and we had a bloody good time didn’t leave until 11. It was great catching up with them and I hope we can do it again soon hopefully with all of the group next time. Then once Martin and I got home we stayed up until half 4 sorting out my old HD2 which Martin will be slowly buying off me XD and we watched a good deal of Robot Chicken (like we did tonight haha)

Yesterday morning Martin gave me a call on my mobile to wake me up we had some food and swapped very un P.C jokes, then when we had lunch (tortilla wraps) Martin sprayed  me with tomato juice while biting down on a little baby tomato and the pips went ALL OVER ME my god it was hilarious!!! After a change of t shirt we gave Alice a ring and decided to have a BBQ seeing as the weather was lovely so we went over to Alice’s and had a very nice BBQ indeed and spent a lot of the time playing with our phone because we’re just cool like that! Got home at 9ish and watched a whole load of Robot Chicken which had us both in tears it’s just so funny and ever so dark, I would recommend it if you have a dark sense of humour like Martin and I. Have to say the next two weeks are going to be excellent! Now I better be off to sleep as yes its late (2:38AM to be exact) and I’m posting on the site again. Until next time.

Peace and love,

Coughs, colds and cables

I really don’t know what it is with me and posting on here so late (currently 3:20AM) my cold is being a persistent little bugger but it’s slowly getting better.

Had a day off volunteering today yesterday well not really a day off as I’m going to being going in on Saturday instead now but I don’t mind. Spent most of my morning doing the usual crap I do looking for jobs finding that there are bugger all, get annoyed and do my best at applying for jobs that I know I’ve not a chance in hell of getting *sigh*. One good thing that did happen today was that my three way USB cable came meaning I could flash my HTC HD7 with a UK rom as sadly having brought it off eBay it came with a US rom with only a US keyboard and dictionary which has been driving me slowly mad especially seeing “cellular” in my settings menu all the time, bloody American’s. It was quite a convoluted thing to do thanks to there still being no way to security unlock the phone, I really can’t be arsed to go into details and it would bore you to death anyways but I got there in the end and now I finally have a UK dictionary HUZZAH!!!

Played a heck of a lot of guitar today mostly Bob Dylan stuff, lol he can’t sing but he’s a good guitarist and a bloody good song writer. Then popped into town to sort some things out nothing really existing, started walking back home and my right kneecap decided it would start really hurting (awww how nice of it) got home and had a chat with Martin on the phone =). Then in the evening I went on one of my “crazy” eight mile walks at 11PM I find it really helps my knees and can stop them hurting as much plus it gives me some time to myself and space to think. Now I’m home coughing every five seconds and feeling like crap ugh! A very dull day indeed I know but I thought I better post something lol.

Right I really should be going as its stupidly late now.

Peace and love,

Now about Saturday..

Hi all

Ugh I’ve got a cold and my voice sounds like it’s dropped a few octaves I guess the amount of Spingo I drank yesterday didn’t really do me any favours.

Yesterday I met up with my good buddies Martin and Alice for a little chin wag and a “quick pint” (which soon turned into about 9 pints) so we went down to our local pub The Blue Anchor at around 3pm. We had a jolly good time and talked about allsorts from going to Australia next year to sign language. Martin showed me how to sign the alphabet in about 5 minutes and I can now sign my name. It’s laid out in a very simple way and makes a lot of sense unlike the English language at times, I think I’ll try and learn sign language it might well come in handle one day plus Martin, Alice and I can have awesome secret conversations in public. Anyways so the evening went on and met up with our good friends Zoe and Sam and had a bloody good night and got home at about 2AM.

Martin and I

Next Sunday Marin should be moving in with me for two weeks as my parents will be going to France and needles to say it’s going to be FRAKING AWSEOME!!!  We’ve planned a Star Wars marathon Episode I to VI that’s 14 hours of pure Star Wars! we’re going to make Pillowmint cocktails they sound lovely plus it has Baileys in it so what’s not to like XD also going to buy some very nice whisky recommended by Martin I forget the name though . The next few weeks should be bloody good fun =D.

Now I’m off to watch some more Battlestar Galactica if you’ve not seen it and love sci-fi like I do you really own it to yourself to watch the 2003 reimagining as it’s a fantastic series. Anyways until next time.

Peace and love,

Now back to the good part

Hello all

Sorry about the lack of post from me it’s been busy lately. I started volunteering at a charity shop this week and so far it’s been alright a tad dull at times but alright. It’s giving me more skills to pop on my CV and gives me something to do. I’m also starting my summer cleaning job again which is only Fridays but it’s better than nothing.

I’ve been out of college for almost a year now and I’ve yet to find a job for most of that time and it’s been a bloody nightmare!!! I’ve been trying to find work in I.T but like a lot of people I’m facing the problem of not having enough experience working in the field to get the job and I can’t even get the bloody experience I’ve emailed at least 15 locale I.T companies asking if I could do a few weeks work experience of which only one has gotten back to me saying that they don’t have the time to take anyone on. It’s a really pain for me as I really know my stuff  when it comes to computer and I do a lot of work for family and friends replacing laptop screens and phone support  and so on, I’ve got a tone of I.T qualifications but that really doesn’t seem to matter to employers. To help matters I will be having an operation to my right leg sometime in the next six months meaning I wouldn’t be able to work for a while after that which limits my jobs opportunities nicely. It’s all very frustrating for me. I need to try and stay positive yes my leg has been really playing up badly this year but I’m getting it fixed, it’s going to be bloody horrible and painful but totally WIZARD worth it.

Now back to the good part.

I saw my uncle last week who came over from Australia to see the family over here and he said if I like I can come over to  Australia on a working visa for 6 or 12 months and have a free place to stay fraking awesome or what!! So I’ve been thinking about that a heck of a lot and I decided that I’m differently going to do it after I’m all recovered from my operation next year, it would be CRAZY not to Australia looks like such a beautiful country.

Today after I finished my volunteering I popped over to my grandparents, lol I think Jade had the right idea.

That’s all for now I will try my best to post more, oh and look out for our new writer coming soon…

Peace and love,

Samson

And now for something completely different

It’s 3AM I can’t sleep my legs hurt and it’s time for a rant.

Sorry about the lack of posts from me I’ve been busy with some annoying crap which I might blog about at a later date.

I’ve not been having the greatest of weeks so far feeling frustrated and depressed and to top it all off my legs are killing me today, which is not uncommon for me but tonight it’s been pretty bad. I woke up about 15 minutes ago to an excruciating short sharp scratchy stabbing pain in my right kneecap , this was a partial dislocation of my knee cap when the kneecap suddenly pops out of its usual groove and jumps onto the groove’s edge (which happens to be close to a nerve) wonderful. The reason this happens is because the groove my kneecaps sit in is far too shallow meaning they can very easily dislocate and at night my leg muscles are completely relaxed and all it takes is a small twitch of my kneecap to set them off.

Back in 2005 I had my first operation on my knees which was having the tendons around my left kneecap tightened to help hold it in place. At the time I was still growing and it was the only thing I could have done, this helped but this would only be a temporary measure..

In December 2007 I had stopped growing so it meant I could have major surgery on my legs so I had my right kneecap repositioned so it would better sit in its grove and work more like a normal kneecap. This was a very complicated surgery which took 2 hours and required them to cut out a portion of my shinbone move some of my ligaments and tenders to allow them to move my kneecap they then screwed the bone back onto my shin bone. I was in hospital for 3 days after my leg got infected Treliske sucks! For the next THREE months (Christmas and my birthday) my leg was in full plaster and after that I had to wear a leg brace for a month and then lots of physiotherapy to build up the muscle in my leg which had completely wasted away. Darning this time I got very depressed I was in so much pain even with all the painkillers and for a month I was practically house ridden but my family and friends and almost daily visits from Martin when he was at college kept me sane.

After these operations my kneecaps stopped dislocating and for the next four years it was wonderful to not have to worry so much about my knees and to have to go through popping my kneecap back in hundreds of times a year. But there were a few down sides to having such major surgery on my leg, Nerve damage to areas around my shin bone and foot also the screws cursed me a hell of a lot of discomfit.

X-Ray of my leg after the Op

But in late December of 2010 my right kneecap dislocated again for the first time in four years while walking in town and most recently it happened in February whilst I was lying in bed. So then I had to start seeing my knee specialist again to have them X-ray point and prod me oh such fun. By this time my screws had started to really hurt a lot of the time and as they were no longer needed to hold the bone in place I decided to have them removed. So in February this year I had them taken out and they made my leg a little less painful and I regained some of the feeling I had lost in my foot which was nice.

Now I am on the waiting list to have an operation on my right leg, the same as I had in 2007. I’m feeling quite apprehensive about it but I know that it works and it’s well worth all the pain in the long run. I just really hope it will be the last major operation I have on my legs.

Oh bloody hell it’s 3:40AM now I should go to sleep. Oh and don’t worry I’ll be writing some techy stuff very soon.

Peace and love,

Samson
