Coughs, colds and cables

I really don’t know what it is with me and posting on here so late (currently 3:20AM) my cold is being a persistent little bugger but it’s slowly getting better.

Had a day off volunteering today yesterday well not really a day off as I’m going to being going in on Saturday instead now but I don’t mind. Spent most of my morning doing the usual crap I do looking for jobs finding that there are bugger all, get annoyed and do my best at applying for jobs that I know I’ve not a chance in hell of getting *sigh*. One good thing that did happen today was that my three way USB cable came meaning I could flash my HTC HD7 with a UK rom as sadly having brought it off eBay it came with a US rom with only a US keyboard and dictionary which has been driving me slowly mad especially seeing “cellular” in my settings menu all the time, bloody American’s. It was quite a convoluted thing to do thanks to there still being no way to security unlock the phone, I really can’t be arsed to go into details and it would bore you to death anyways but I got there in the end and now I finally have a UK dictionary HUZZAH!!!

Played a heck of a lot of guitar today mostly Bob Dylan stuff, lol he can’t sing but he’s a good guitarist and a bloody good song writer. Then popped into town to sort some things out nothing really existing, started walking back home and my right kneecap decided it would start really hurting (awww how nice of it) got home and had a chat with Martin on the phone =). Then in the evening I went on one of my “crazy” eight mile walks at 11PM I find it really helps my knees and can stop them hurting as much plus it gives me some time to myself and space to think. Now I’m home coughing every five seconds and feeling like crap ugh! A very dull day indeed I know but I thought I better post something lol.

Right I really should be going as its stupidly late now.

Peace and love,

Samson

People a l’tashe…

What is wrong with people? Seriously it seems that most of the population suffer from leprosy or some other disease whereupon large quantities of their flesh slough off their limbs. The reason for this most distasteful start to a post is that at work today we had to clear out the storeroom of all duff computers and make way for new stuffs and storage etc. We were to strip all of the components out of the towers before we could throw them at the recycling centre and in doing so, I managed to disturb enough dust to create complete DNA profiles of the previous owners.

This turned out to be really very disgusting as I managed to inhale a large portion of this fine dusty person. Hands quickly turned black by handling components with a carpet of human flesh, teeth became grittier with dusty residue and even my beard and ‘tashe was coated in a thin layer of several individuals.

I pray to you, for the love of christ clean out your computers once in a while… When a hapless Engineer has to open it up when you inevitably break it, it’s nice not to have to consume the last several years of your various tissues that have fallen off…

Needless to say I have since showered, purged myself with salt and fire, brushed my teeth several times and disinfected my beard, this is not the point though, it’s disgusting and needs to be sorted. It takes 20 minutes with a paintbrush and a hoover, just clean it out…

Anyway, we have a Beat Hazard (Ultra) Review coming up soon and hopefully an update on the T-Shirt front and the website if all goes well. For now, peace out!

Now about Saturday..

Hi all

Ugh I’ve got a cold and my voice sounds like it’s dropped a few octaves I guess the amount of Spingo I drank yesterday didn’t really do me any favours.

Yesterday I met up with my good buddies Martin and Alice for a little chin wag and a “quick pint” (which soon turned into about 9 pints) so we went down to our local pub The Blue Anchor at around 3pm. We had a jolly good time and talked about allsorts from going to Australia next year to sign language. Martin showed me how to sign the alphabet in about 5 minutes and I can now sign my name. It’s laid out in a very simple way and makes a lot of sense unlike the English language at times, I think I’ll try and learn sign language it might well come in handle one day plus Martin, Alice and I can have awesome secret conversations in public. Anyways so the evening went on and met up with our good friends Zoe and Sam and had a bloody good night and got home at about 2AM.

Martin and I

Next Sunday Marin should be moving in with me for two weeks as my parents will be going to France and needles to say it’s going to be FRAKING AWSEOME!!!  We’ve planned a Star Wars marathon Episode I to VI that’s 14 hours of pure Star Wars! we’re going to make Pillowmint cocktails they sound lovely plus it has Baileys in it so what’s not to like XD also going to buy some very nice whisky recommended by Martin I forget the name though . The next few weeks should be bloody good fun =D.

Now I’m off to watch some more Battlestar Galactica if you’ve not seen it and love sci-fi like I do you really own it to yourself to watch the 2003 reimagining as it’s a fantastic series. Anyways until next time.

Peace and love,

Samson

Third Time Really is the Charm.

Or maybe it’s only the charm because I thought “Oh god, if I fail this time then I’ll have to take my test a fourth time. There’s no cute little sayings about four times!”, and thus I would have been screwed. Luckily, it didn’t come to that and I passed with a mere five minors. (Which is considerably better than the nine minors, one dangerous and one serious that I got on the first test. And still better than the six minors and two serious on the second time. Although, I swear it was still green when I went through!)

If nothing else, this post clearly proves that I am a girl (and not a lie or a guy living in my parents’ basement. Not that we have a basement. I suppose I could live in the loft that we’re having converted…). I’m not really a bad driver. I don’t stall or fumble at traffic lights. I stay in the correct lane. I don’t drive too slowly (okay, two of my minors were for undue hesitation and for driving too slowly, but it was raining really hard and I didn’t see any speed signs!). I’m just terrified of roundabouts. Not that it matters now! I don’t have to take any more tests! I am freeeeeeeeeeeeee. Unless, as my driving instructor pointed out on the drive home, I get six points, get reverted back to a provisional licence and have to do the whole thing again. When he said that I kind of considered just not driving for the next two years till I get a proper licence and am allowed to get 12 points before I have to retake it all…

Anyway! I thought I should come introduce myself properly, since Martin very kindly gave me a little introduction in the post before the very delicious looking cocktail. So, a little bit more about myself. I’m 21 and, unfortunately, still living at home. This is doubly frustrating as I have spent the last three years at university in Sheffield and am, as such, accustomed to a far different lifestyle to the one provided here… Where I live is pretty much where old people go to fulfil their lifelong ambitions of living beside the sea. Nevermind that where we live the sea varies intermittently between blue-brown and green-brown; that colour water goes when you wash your paintbrush in it after using all the different colours. And most of the beaches are just pebbles.

But at least I have a job now. Okay, it’s a minimum wage job and everyone who works there is either older than me and has kids or still goes to school. But it does get my parents off my back. Whilst seriously limiting my game time… This is inopportune as I have a rather large stash of games that I still need to work my way through… As well as a rather large pile of books and a handful of films. In the rest of my, limited, spare time, I draw (mainly videogame characters), listen to music, and bake various baked goods. Especially cupcakes. Mmmm.

Nom nom nom.

I’mma stop rambling now and might go nap. 8:43pm is too early to go to bed for real. But I’m so sleepyyyyyy…

Zzzzzzzzzz.

PillowMint Drink anyone?

Just a quick one for the time being,

I was trawling the search engines, seeing how well we’re doing in terms of page rank etc (not brilliantly I may add). When I came across something most peculiar. We have our own drink! This is quite possibly the best thing ever!

Our own drink!

This is the PillowMint! (aka. The Mint Choc-chip Martini)

This is the drink that can be created and I shall tell you all how in but a few moments. I think this is one which our resident 60-year old lady (Samson) would enjoy as it contains his favourite liqueur  ‘Baileys’.

Now the preparation:

You will need:
Chocolate Syrup,
Baileys Mint Chocolate
Vodka (Vanilla)/Kahlua
1 Sprig o’ Mint

Swirl the chocolate sauce in the bottom of the glass, best to get a fancy Martini Glass for this one (for the aesthetics). Pop your glasses in the freezer to ice them up a bit and make the chocolate freeze to the sides.

Next shove some ice in another glass/food mixer and serve 2 fluid ounces of the baileys per person (please note that the measurements are taken to fill a Martini Glass, if you want a pint of it, you’re mad but you’ll need to up the quantities) and add  1/2 fluid ounce of vanilla vodka or kahlua (per person) and shake it up (or blend).

Pour it in, add the mint and away you go. 1 PillowMint for your delectation and delight. I’m sure Samson will be all over this like ants on an ice-cream.

Cheers for now,

Martin
