This month started out on a bad vibe, carried on from various misfortunes of last month, I was informed that I was unable to stay at work due to budget cuts etc etc, I failed my driving test due to my heavy foot and I have been unable to find ANY other work down here that doesn’t require a degree in something utterly irrelevant and unnecessary. If I wanted to be a teacher, great, I could get one of a number of teaching jobs going here at Cornwall Council. As it stands, I do not want to be a teacher…
I do have a bit of good news though, as of 07:00 today, the recruitment hotline for Avon and Somerset Police opened, allowing multitudes of muppets like myself massacre that number until we got the wondrous sound of a human voice on the other end instead of the dreaded ‘call busy’ tone. I managed to get through, have an application pack coming through and hopefully have a chance at getting one of the highly prized 64 possible slots available.
Mustn’t get too excited though, I’m fighting against 1099 other people for 64 places, I do hope that I get one of them, this is a career that I would love to whole-heartedly pursue.
I need to calm down and get some sleep soon. Goodnight all, speak soon.

Huh… So it seems that I have been blissfully ignoring this place again and I probably would have continued to had it not been for a comment left on my last post about posting more. I guess part of the problem is me not actually bothering after work, which is fair enough. I have, however, been embarking on the new venture known as podcasting. I know I promised this a snarling zombie dog’s age ago but now I mean it. I’m half way through recording and will hopefully finish tonight and put it up.
I think for the next one I’m going to get a better microphone though, this one is appalling and I sound like I have a cold. Anyway, it should be good as an experiment. I’m not sure how often I’m going to do one, but as it stands it may only be a bi-monthly until I can:
A) Get a new microphone
B) Be bothered to research topics (and finally):
C) Be bothered to record it and keep posting as well.
In the words of Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson: “How hard could it be?”
New… What’s new… I don’t really want to talk much this week on here because I’m finding it hard enough to talk about stuff on the podcast… I think I’ll leave new stuff for that. Just so I have stuff to actually talk about.
Cheers for now,
Martin
Hello peoples, I know I seem to have just vanished for a bit but at least I’ve been busy. Currently I am sat installing XP onto a notebook type effort and can’t really go anywhere until what’s-her-name shows up for it… I’m gonna be so behind with my equpitment audit…
Sooo what have I been up to? Lots and not a lot at the same time is technically the right answer. I’ve been working on a site for a band (Call-To-Arms) you may have read my post which mentioned them back many moons ago, still got loads more to do on that. Well, I have the gallery to fill, which is annoying and time consuming but ultimately rewarding when you see the finished product. Working on my own site, doing little bits and peices here and there, work-work as well, currently on the half-term so we have loads of stuff to keep us busy, mine is an equiptment audit which feels like it will take into next month to do.
Meh, better get back to it I suppose…

Okies, so what I’m doing is upgrading and arsing around with the site entirely. Learning PHP and HTML in more detail to make a much better homepage and making a shed-load of new graphics, are just a few examples of upgrades being made around here. It needed to be done; it was looking tired and outdated like a Ford Cortina.
So, new homepage under-way, that’s about it so far. Oh, some of the more Eagle-eyed of you may have noticed that the banner of the blog has changed, sadly, no prize for seeing that. Not a great deal else to say really. Just trying to make better everything here.
Will write again soon(ish)

Hello all, I may have been a little… Inactive on the website over the past few months but I assure you it’s for a perfectly good reason… Actually, what am I talking about… It’s because I’m a lazy bugger who couldn’t be bothered to update in ages. I will have to make a new years resolution, firstly to keep this website up to date a bit more and secondly to get my bloody driving test done. I have people left, right and centre all bugging me to get it done… It will be done soon. I really don’t want to be messing around with this anymore, I’m bored of taking public transport, especially if it’s nearly an hour late and is full of school kids… This is NOT what I pay my £14.40 a week for. To have to endure the screams and wails of kids as they wind each other up to the high heavens…
So instead of just forgetting about this place and letting it rot like an unwanted piece of fruit, I shall be updating at least once a week from now on. I promise.
