Hello peoples, I know I seem to have just vanished for a bit but at least I’ve been busy. Currently I am sat installing XP onto a notebook type effort and can’t really go anywhere until what’s-her-name shows up for it… I’m gonna be so behind with my equpitment audit…
Sooo what have I been up to? Lots and not a lot at the same time is technically the right answer. I’ve been working on a site for a band (Call-To-Arms) you may have read my post which mentioned them back many moons ago, still got loads more to do on that. Well, I have the gallery to fill, which is annoying and time consuming but ultimately rewarding when you see the finished product. Working on my own site, doing little bits and peices here and there, work-work as well, currently on the half-term so we have loads of stuff to keep us busy, mine is an equiptment audit which feels like it will take into next month to do.
Yes, it’s been only been a few days *shock horror*…
You can stop being smug now… This is just a quick on to say that there will be a few graphical changes around here, i’m going to try and keep a continuous theme going throughout. Also www.pillowmint.co.uk ’s forum is up and semi-running and accepting members, so if you wish to join and have a quick chat/read then be my guest.
Jesus, after many many hours of toiling and getting frustrated and what-have-you, I finally have a new homepage and a few others. There are still a load of adjustments to be made but meh, all will come eventually. Well, when I can be arsed.
ALSO NEW:
1. A new forum – still being constructed.
2. New graphics – there are still some issues to be ironed out.
I think I’m gonna take a few nights to sort these things out and get it all nice-looking and ready for public consumption…
Ahh good, I’m glad you also agree that this is the worst piece of shit since ‘Cascada’ covered ‘Last Christmas’… How dare Simon Cowell even think that this was anywhere near good enough to release to the public… I don’t even know where to start raging… All I can really tell you is that I’m shaking slightly as I type this so, that’s clearly not good.
The 21 “stars” including Leona Lewis, Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, Take That, Kylie, Robbie Williams, Cheryl Cole, Susan Boyle, Michael Buble, Mika, James Morrisson, Alexandra Burke, Miley Cyrus, James Blunt, Jon Bon Jovi, Westlife and JLS, should all be shot on sight.
The, so called, artists that have been hand-picked by the richest prat in existence have done a thorough job at destroying a great song. I tell you what, if you already ignored the video above, good for you, you know what’s right. Those that didn’t should now rush to the music store/iTunes/Zune Marketplace and BUY THE ORIGINAL! I hope R.E.M. get a lot of publicity for this and NOT the 21 plus people that sing in the charity version.
I hate charity songs, I think in general. There is something inherently wrong with people who get together and do a bad job of a good song and then ruin said song for future people. It’s like what Crazy Frog did for Axel F. I was humming it at work one day and I overheard someone say “I can’t believe people like the Crazy Frog song”. If I were allowed to go mental at kids at the school, this would have been my ideal chance. I know it’s not a charity single but it has the ‘ruin factor’.
Bill Gates can give $28 billion to charity… Why not record labels who make billions in profit? It would save the public being attacked by truly awful music…
Maybe I’m missing the point of charity songs, as the fat man at the end said: “It’s what it’s all about.” Earning money for charity. I say that if you want to raise money, donate generously to charity. I, personally, have made my donation to the unfortunate victims of Haiti, but I don’t want punishment for it…
I’m gonna go have a lie-down before the blood vessels in my face explode…
Okies, so what I’m doing is upgrading and arsing around with the site entirely. Learning PHP and HTML in more detail to make a much better homepage and making a shed-load of new graphics, are just a few examples of upgrades being made around here. It needed to be done; it was looking tired and outdated like a Ford Cortina.
So, new homepage under-way, that’s about it so far. Oh, some of the more Eagle-eyed of you may have noticed that the banner of the blog has changed, sadly, no prize for seeing that. Not a great deal else to say really. Just trying to make better everything here.
